Dear CLSME Woman,
Every March 8 is a day to cherish our wins and recognize how far we’ve come from merely thinking about success to actually going after success regardless of the odds, the stereotypes, and cultural limitations.
Happy International Women’s Day. The theme DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality was well thought of especially in a country like Nigeria, where according to the National Bureau of Statistics, women make up an average of just 22% of the total number of Engineering and Technology university graduates each year and about a fifth of the total number of people working in the ICT sector.
Late last year, the CLSME team launched a WhatsApp community for small business owners and a larger percentage of the most active are female entrepreneurs.
They give their best each day to see their business at the forefront despite the socio-cultural odds, we do what we do because we want to see these amazing female business owners rise in their ranks to inspire other women to succeed, and the nation at large.
At the Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp we believe, enterprising ladies and women deserve to be seen and heard in every field they choose, nobody and no one deserves to be relegated because of their sex.
Until we #EmbraceEquity and bring down the ceiling, we won’t rest on this struggle.
Once again, Happy International Women’s Day!
