Let’s Talk: Building Businesses That Last – It’s About People & Process
It’s not just about having the right idea. It is about ...
I’ve been thinking a lot about this journey we’re all on. Whether you’re grinding to get that first sale, building your dream team, or wondering how to make your small business stand the test of time.
It’s tough, right? You see the highlight reels on social media: the flashy funding rounds, the polished success stories, the “overnight” wins. But what you don’t always see is the grit behind it. The messy middle where your systems break down, you feel stretched, and you start asking yourself, “Is this really worth it?”
Trust me, I’ve been there.
When I started Caladium Consulting, I wasn’t trying to build a company that just existed for the sake of it. I wanted something that could actually make a difference. A firm that could partner with businesses, not just advise them. A place where we don’t just tell you what to do; we help you figure it out, build it, and scale it. And if I’ve learned anything over the last 15 years working with over 300 startups, SMEs, and even large corporations, it’s this:
It’s not just about having the right idea.
It’s about having the right people and the right processes to make that idea come alive, again and again.
That’s why I’m so excited to share something special with you.
On June 3rd, 2025 at 6PM, I’ll be joining a webinar hosted by Jobberman, in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, alongside two brilliant minds:
Seyifunmi Oderinde: HR Consultant and Founder of WLB Consulting, and
Seye Olurotimi: Business Consultant, Certified Trainer, and Founder of MSME Africa.
We’ll be digging deep into a topic I believe every entrepreneur needs to master:
“Grow Your Business With The Right People & Processes: Strategies For SMEs.”
This isn’t going to be your typical “business advice” session where we throw around buzzwords and hope it sticks. We’re going to get real about what it takes to build businesses that last:
How do you attract and retain the right talent when you can’t match big corporate salaries?
What systems do you need to scale without losing your sanity or your best people?
How do you avoid becoming just another “busy” entrepreneur with no time to actually think?
We’re going to answer those questions. And we’ll also talk about the mistakes we’ve made, because let’s be honest, the road is never straight. I’ve had my fair share of failures, pivots, and hard lessons, and I want to share those with you, so you don’t have to make the same mistakes.
This isn’t just about showing up for a webinar. It’s about showing up for yourself. For your business. For the impact you’re building.
So here’s what I want you to do:

If you don’t know already, we have a podcast called The Failure Diaries and it’s not like anything else out there. It’s a space where real builders, founders, and professionals open up about the side of the journey most people hide. The missed shots. The dead ends. The losses that didn’t make the press. We created it to remind people that failure isn’t final, it’s just feedback, and sometimes it’s the real beginning.
In our latest reel, Bayo “Lion” Adedeji, Group CEO of Wakanow and founder of Wave Beach, shares a raw, personal moment from his story. From losing his dad at two to investing everything in a business that eventually failed, it’s not just inspiring, it’s grounding. This one is for anyone who’s ever had to start again.
Watch the episode here, engage with it, and share with someone who needs to hear the truth behind the journey.
