On a beautiful sunny afternoon in the year 2006. Two best friends (Sola and Kunle) graduated from the same university with similar character traits.
They were both better than average students, very sociable, with ambitious dreams for the future.
Recently, they met at a mutual friend’s wedding.
Following the conversations at the wedding, it turned out they had both ventured into building a business after graduation.
But… something was wrong.
Sola was struggling to build his business effectively, while the Kunle already had his structure in place and seemed to be running excellently.
What do you think made the difference?
Wait first…
Could you tell there was something different about today’s gist?
Anyhoo… New year new beginnings, right?

You must be thinking “ehen, and so, when then”, let him just continue with the story na. But before I proceed, my lords and ladies, let me share a portrait of myself and a quick bio for the road.
I don't smile in my pictures (don’t insult me o), but I cannot go a minute without smiling in real life, and I look forward to you affirming that when you catch me at our next event.
● My name is Alex Ayo Afolabi, preferably Alex (I would have loved to be called Ayo, but we have an Ayo already).
● I am passionate about discussing how small businesses can leverage digital tools to enhance personal and business development.
● I was once a cucumber farmer in Ekiti State (Yes, that’s right!), I will share some lessons with you on this new journey.
● Service to humanity is a creed to me, that was what drove me to be a JCI Nigeria member while still in school.
Enough about me, we will get to know more about ourselves subsequently. I dey for you.
You can shoot me any business-related questions (issues with your business, digital tools to maximize productivity and profitability, etc.) about anything really. I am sure to reach out to our network of industry experts who will provide ample insights to meet your needs.
Back to our story.
So, what do you think made the difference?
Have you ever wondered, as I have, what makes this kind of difference in people's business? Running a business isn't always about just having the same ideas, personality, money, etc.
It isn't that one person wants success and the other doesn't.
The difference lies in each person’s knowledge, experiences, and application thereof.
And so, about Sola and Kunle.
What made the difference was their level of exposure and knowledge on how to manage a structured business. The good thing is business management skills can be acquired
